James McCarthy - Chef
Born and raised in Maryland, James is a life long resident of Anne Arundel County. He is a 1981 graduate of Severna Park High School. In 1984, James married his better half, Janet Loli. They were blessed with a daughter, Carmen and a son, James IV. James began his culinary career at the former Annapolis landmark, Fred's Restaurant. From there he went to the Chartwell Country Club. Next, James was appointed executive chef at Kaufmann's Restaurant in Gambrills. He continued his culinary career at the Chart House Restaurant, then at Tony and Joe's Seafood Place in Washington D.C. and most recently at The Rockfish in Annapolis. In 1996, James received professional certification as executive chef by the American Culinary Federation. "I am very excited to be working for Jessica and Dave at Skippers Pier. The restaurant has a long standing reputation for quality food and great service", McCarthy said. "Skippers culture has always been to ensure guest satisfaction, and I will continue to uphold that tradition".
Dave Rosage - Owner
Dave Rosage has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Stevenson University and an M.B.A. from Loyola. He currently serves as Vice-President of the Pasadena Business Association, serves on the board of the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Department, is Treasurer of the Maryland Volunteer Fire Pac and is a Maryland Free Mason. In high school Dave's senior superlative was "Best Smile", not just a testimonial to his early orthodontics, but his long standing belief that no matter where life takes you, you should go there with a smile on your face! Dave brings to Skipper's his lifelong passion for business and true entrepreneurial spirit; having owned and operated several small business enterprises in the north county area for over a decade.
Jessica LeCronier - Owner/Pastry Chef
Jessica Lecronier graduated from Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte with a Bachelor's Degree in Food Service Management. She is an award-winning pastry chef and has had extensive experience in both front-and-back of the house restaurant operations. Most recently Jessica worked as a sous and pastry chef at the Shanty Grille (formerly the Crab Shanty) in Ellicott City. In addition, she owns J.LeCakes, a cake and confection company in the north county area, specializing in wedding and other specialty cakes, pies and desserts. The "sweet genius" Jessica brings to Skipper's is her boundless energy and attention to detail, coupled with an unconditional love of the culinary arts.
